Hall Rental Charges/ Deposits

Mon / Tues / Wed Rentals

  • Member Fee* = $300.00 New Rate 2024: $325.00

  • Non-Member Fee = $600.00 New Rate 2024: $650.00

Fri / Sat / Sun Rentals​

  • Member Fee* = $400.00 New Rate 2024: $425.00

  • Non-Member Fee = $800.00 New Rate 2024: $850.00

Please Note:

  • Member must have an active membership SIX months prior to rental date

  • Security Deposit Required / Renter agrees to pay for damages 

  • Rental Fee Due in full 1 week prior to event date

Hall Setup

On the day/ night of a booked event, renters will be allowed access to the hall 60 minutes prior to their reserved event start time, during which they can decorate and set up food, etc..  If more time is need additional fee applies.  Contact the Hall Manager.

The Emerald Society provides and can set up:

  • Round tables: 5 feet in diameter with 8 chairs each, as many as renters request.

  • High-top Pub Table: 5 high-top pub tables with stools by the bar, and stools along the bar itself.

  • Long Tables: 6’ and 8’ long, rectangular tables. These are generally used along the walls for food, catering trays, coffee, gifts, and DJ’s on stage, etc.

 

 

Catering

Renters can use whichever catering service they choose or bring in their own food, and setup up lit sterno canisters under trays to keep food warm.

 Please noted there is NO COOKING in Hall kitchen.

Music

Renters not using a DJ can utilize our onsite JukeBox.  In order to use this Jukebox you must download the TouchTunes App for your cellphone / device.  The App can be located here and click on App in upper right hand corner of page.

We also have wireless microphones should your event require their use.

Liquor Regulations

The Emerald Society holds a liquor license granted by the City of Boston and must follow all rules and regulations for holders of alcoholic beverage licenses. Management reserves the right to refuse or suspend alcohol service at any time to any Patron(s).  Neither patrons, nor patrons’ guests, are allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into the facility Violators will be asked to leave.

 

A positive, active MASSACHUSETTS driver’s license, Military ID, US Passport, is required.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Anyone under the age of 21 will not be allowed to consume alcoholic beverages.  The bartenders have soda guns for non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Display and Decorations

All Displays and/or decorations shall be subject to the approval of our management.

Specifically, NO CONFETTI and NO TAPE on WALLS PLEASE.

Some renters bring disposable linens to cover tables or some bring cloth linens. The Emerald Society does not provide linen service.

Liability & Security

The Emerald Society reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions.  Liability for damages to the premises or equipment will be charged to those responsible for the booking of the function.

Rental Contract (Effective 11/19/2015)

ALL RESERVATIONS AND AGREEMENTS ARE MADE UPON, AND ARE SUBJECT TO, THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE EMERALD SOCIETY AND THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

Upon receipt of this contract our hall rental manger will contact you at the listed phone number to further discuss your specific event.  The Emerald Society reserves the right to cancel or otherwise refuse service in the best interests of the BPD  Emerald  Society.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Security Deposit will hold your event date.  Hall Rental Fees paid in full due one week prior to your event.  All Deposits are refundable up to 30 days prior to functions.  The Emerald Society will not refund any deposits or payments made for cancellations made less than 30 days before your function date.

  2. Any damages discovered at the conclusion of your event will be charged to the individual who rented the hall, and shall be solely liable and responsible for the event.

  3. The agreement shall be considered accepted and validated once both parties have signed below.

  4. It is the understanding of The Emerald Society that you are an authorized agent of the group or person entered above.

  5. A signature by facsimile or electronic means shall be considered binding for both parties.
